Entering References Directly into FEN

To create a new citation, go to your workspace. Click on "Select" and select "Citation" from the drop-down menu that appears. Alaternatively, you may use the keyboard shortcut SHIFT-CTRL R.  Then, click "add new item" on the right. You will be taken to the citation manager. Select the appropriate type of citation. Click on "Set medium." Enter the appropriate information in the fields provided. Click on "Change and View." Review the formatting in the published version of the citation and correct any errors by using the editing functions in the citation object.

You might wish to print this page as a help while entering citations.

This page contains numerous samples of FEN citation formats. Note that in the style guide below, all authors are Last Name, First Name or Initials with a “;” semi-colon between multiple authors. Be aware of the precise spacing, punctuation, etc.
