Potential Agricultural Erosion

The Natural Resource Inventory (NRI) database of the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) produces estimates of soil erosion potential. The erosion potential from the NRI cannot be taken as a total measure of sediment that reaches waterbodies from agricultural practices. These erosion potentials are a relative estimate of the sediment-producing opportunity and of the quality of agricultural land management practices in a county.
